With the “Sacred Valley Vip Tour in Cusco”, you will enjoy the valley most appreciated by the Incas due to its special geographical and climatic qualities. We will take you through the main attractions of the sacred valley seeing impressive landscapes, mountains with glaciers, archaeological sites such as Chinchero, Salt Mines, Moray, Ollantaytambo and Pisaq.

The towns of the Sacred Valley seem stopped in time. Many customs are kept alive thanks to the efforts of the people themselves. In Pisac, there is an artisan market that had its origins in the important commercial transaction during the Viceroyalty. In Chinchero, there are many textile centers that preserve the type of yarn inherited through many generations. In the Sunday market of this traditional town you can still barter or trade. The settlers still dress in their daily life with the typical costume of the locality.

CHINCHERO: 30 minutes from Cusco is Chinchero, a picturesque town where we will visit a community to appreciate a textile interpretation center, its well-preserved Inca Wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial temple with interesting frescoes in the portico, built on the foundations of an Inca building.

MARAS – SALINERAS: Known by some as “salt mines” This place is known as the salt mines, it is made up of about 3,000 salt wells. It is built on the mountain of Kachi Qata, from where it comes out in salt water this place was very prestigious. You have to start climbing some rigorously well-drawn stairs and at the top is the masterpiece of Inca architects and stonemasons.

OLLANTAYTAMBO, is the only living Inca city, which is preserved almost intact and its houses still serve as dwellings where their descendants live. The design of the city, its axes, its urban structure, the beauty of the volumes and its games of light and shadow attract everyone. In the main temple there is a front with six pink granite monoliths brought from another place and perfectly assembled in the stone.

PISAC: The most extensive of the fortresses of the Sacred Valley and of the entire Inca civilization is that of Pisac. Nestled on a steep rocky headland, the paths leading to it defy cliffs and through tunnels carved into the rock. The heart of the settlement comprises a temple dedicated to the Sun or Intihuatana, which includes some of the most exquisite examples of Inca architecture in cut stone.

PISAC ARTISAN MARKET: Located in the main square of Pisac, a colorful and joyful place where the most famous Cusco handicrafts made by Andean hands are exhibited, among the handicrafts, textile pieces, ponchos, bags, etc., stand out. and ceramic crafts, these are reproductions of Inca archaeological pieces, such as queros (ceremonial vessels), necklaces, etc. This fair is attended by merchants and indigenous artisans from many towns dressed in their typical costumes.

The VIP Sacred Valley tour is a totally different way of doing the Classic Sacred Valley tour, since it takes better advantage of the day, keep in mind that Ollantaytambo town that is part of the Sacred Valley circuit is the train station that take us to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
