Itinerary
Day 1: City tours
We will pick you up at the airport in Cusco, and then transfer you to the hotel. You will have the morning free so you can acclimatize and at 11:00 a.m. We will pick you up at the hotel to start with the City Tour Cusco. The first visit will be to the Coricancha or Temple of the Sun (place where the sun god was worshiped). Then in a tourist bus we will move to the outskirts of the city of Cusco where we will visit the archaeological sites of: Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. After the tour we will return to the city of Cusco. In Cusco you will spend the night.
Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas
Pick up from the hotel in Cusco. The tour will start at 8:00 a.m. about. Then we will go by tourist bus to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the first stop will be at the archaeological complex of Pisac where we will take a guided tour, the next stop will be the Pisac artisan market, where we can appreciate textiles and jewelry. Then we will go to Urubamba where we will have a buffet lunch (included in the tour). After lunch we will go to Ollantaytambo, where we will first visit the archaeological complex and then we will go to the train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. In Aguas Calientes he spends the night.
Day 3: Machu Picchu
Pick up from the hotel in Cusco. The tour will begin at 4:00 a.m. about. Then we will go by tourist bus to the town of Mollepata, here we will have breakfast and make last minute purchases, then we will continue with the trip for an additional 1 hour until we reach Soraypampa. Once we arrive we will get ready and start with our 1 hour and 45 minute walk to the Humantay Lagoon (those who do not want to walk can rent a horse), upon arrival we will observe the impressive view of the Nevado Humantay. In the Humantay Lagoon we will spend 45 minutes exploring the place and taking photos, after the visit we will return to Soraypampa, then we will go to Mollepata to enjoy an energizing lunch, after lunch we will return to Cusco. In Cusco you will spend the night.
Day 5: Chinchero, Moray and Salineras
The tour begins with the pick up from the hotel from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., immediately we will begin the tour in the northwest direction of the city of Cusco, passing through very typical populations of beautiful landscapes, the first point of visit will be the Archaeological Complex of Chinchero, stands out for its stairs, Inca walls and beautiful platforms where camelids were grazed and the land was cultivated with various products. Then we will observe the process of Alpaca Wool, from the wool washing to the final product, in which one can witness the spinning, dyeing and weaving techniques that the Chincherino people still practice. We will continue our journey to the town of Maras, where we will visit the Archaeological Complex of Moray, a set of huge terraces that overlap concentrically in a gigantic hole, which in the time of the Incas was used for the study of agriculture. Then we will visit the Salineras that are made up of about 2000 small wells with an average area of about 5 m², exploited since Inca times, colonial times and that are still being exploited by the locals. After our visit we will return to the city of Cusco. Arriving in the City of Cusco at 2:30 p.m. about. In Cusco you will spend the night.
Day 6: Rainbow Mountain
Pick up from the hotel in Cusco. The tour will begin at 4:00 a.m. about. From the city of Cusco we will move to the Cusipata district, here we will have breakfast and then we will continue traveling until we reach the Phulawasipata community. In this place our walk will begin, the outward journey will be approximately 1 hour walking at a slow pace (those who do not wish to walk can rent a horse), after the walk we will arrive at the Mountain of 7 Colors where we will be with the guide for about 45 minutes exploring the place and taking the photos. Then, we will continue with our return walk to the starting point, then we will go by tourist transport to Cusipata, where we will stop for lunch and then return to Cusco. In Cusco you will spend the night.
Day 7: Departure
A couple of hours before your flight back to your city, we will pick you up from the hotel to transfer you to the airport.
